Testimonials

Dear Bernie, I want to Thank You for the wonderful job that Brzostek's Auction Service did for us in April auctioning off the estate of my son. It was overwhelming when we looked at the amount of belongings that he had. You came in and told us how you were going to be able to sell everything. You are a man of your word. Brzostek's Auction Service came in and organized everything in just a few hours. On the day of the auction the turnout was tremendous, cars were lined up and down the road. It was amazing watching your people prepare for the auction, ensuring the tent was set up with the chairs, the sound system so that everyone could hear the bidding and you brought in a food vendor so people were well fed. Your knowledge of over forty years of auctions and the items that were to be auctioned, kept buyers interested and engaged. Receiving the auction results before we left that evening was truly amazing to say the least and surpassed our expectations. We were pleased with your results and have already recommended you to friends. Thank you once again for your help. Sincerely, John Martineau

There are not enough words to express the feeling of having someone you trust help you to have an estate sale while you are still alive. The best gift you can give your children so they will not have to sort through the memories of 44 years or however many years you have accumulated stuff in your life journey. The home is full of precious memories and lots of stored "clutter". Call Bernie and he and Wendy will carefully lead you through the elimination process. Your friends will come to an auction and buy the things that remind them of you so pieces of your life will go out in many directions and you can visit your memories any time anywhere your friends live. Your children will take what they love about their life with you. The result.....you are free as a butterfly to continue your life in simplicity praising the Lord for His strength to see you through the process. Kudos Bernie and Wendy...I have finally found my peace and serenity. THANK YOU!! Joan Davis

Dear Bernie, Now that all the details of the House sale are completed, I wanted to write you to express my gratitude for your assistance in selling my Mother's House, antiques & possessions. I very much appreciated the professional and skillful manner you and your staff carried out your duties. I could not have been as successful as you were on my own. Thanks to Amiee for her push to get the house sale complete. Wendy, as you know, is wonderful and the best at staging. She as a very artistic eye. I wish you the best in the future. You work very hard and your success is a result of that. Thank you so very much! Paula Hoffmann (7949 Vernon Rd. S., Cicero, NY)

Hi, We went to your Antique Auction today and wanted to let you know what a great job you all did! We bought several items and are very happy with our purchases. You are VERY organized, efficient & keep the auction moving right along. Brzostek's Auction Co. is now our favorite auction house to attend. Also LOVED the auctioneer's humor during the bidding... Regards,

Kevin & Patti Hoock

I0/8/2015, I just want to take this opportunity to say Thanks Bernie for bringing in more money than expected for my Syracuse house (256 Genesee Park Dr.). Since I have never attended a property auction (until my own), I found it to be both educational and entertaining. I truly enjoy how you manage to get everyone involved!! I can certainly understand why you have been so successful for all these years. You are great at your job!! Thank you Bernie!!

August 30, 2015, Dear Bernie, Thank you for all your help in auctioning off my grandmother's house located @ 18 Mildred Ave., Cortland, NY. You handled everything so professionally and quick. You made a difficult decision much easier for me. You definitely lightened my load! I really love your sense of humor. I will highly recommend you to everyone. Thanks so much. Sincerely,

Karen Smith

April 17, 2015, Hi Bernie, I purchased a beige ultra suede chair at Wednesday's auction that I believe belonged to your daughter. I just wanted to let you and your daughter know that it has gone to a very appreciative home! It's the perfect size for my 6'2" husband and just right for me to curl up in. We love it! I have been coming to your auctions for several years and I thought I should send you a long-overdue "thank you." Many of our favorite chairs and props that we use in our studio, Baker Photography, have come through you. They are unique items that we obtained for a fraction of what they would have cost us had we bought them from one of the photography prop supply companies.

Warmly, Kathy Baker

Dear Bernie, I just cannot thank you enough for the outstanding job you did on the household auction for my daughter. The professionalism and kindness shown by yourself and your staff are beyond words. Both she and I would recommend you anytime. You turned a hopeless, difficult situation into one that became very easy to deal with. And you did an excellent job selling all the items at the auction. The proceeds were much higher than expected. You really know what you are doing. I also want to commend you and your staff for the great job on the day of packing and pick up. I could not believe you came in a shirt and tie!!! And all your associates had on company shirts. You got right to work and were done in no time. My daughter and I were so impressed. And we were so relieved that you were able to help us out. You were a miracle to us. I also want to commend whomever did that terrific job on listing every single item sold at the auction and giving my daughter a copy. Again, extreme professionalism. Best wishes and thank you again. Judy, Adriane and Olivia.

December 2014, Bernie, What a pleasure to have you with us again for the "CHAIRity Art Auction". Thank you so much for working our Auction, I know you are a "crowd" favorite hands down. Without your help we would not have made it. Many, Many, Many Thanks.

Very Sincerely, Susan Kernan, Sculpture Space

December 2014, Bernie, Just want to thank you and your team for a great auction last week. You're a great company to work with and I'm happy with the result!

Nov. 21, '14, Dear Bernie, On behalf of Ronald McDonald House Charities of CNY, thank you for donating your time and discounting your services for our Annual Many Hearts One Home Celebration on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at the SRC Arena at Onondaga Community College. With your help, this year's celebration raised more than $90,000 to allow us to continue to support our guest families. We thank you for helping us make life a little easier for our guest families.

Sincerely, Beth M. Trunfie, Executive Director

November 2014, Dear Bernie, Thanks so very much for your in-kind donation of your services in support of our 25th Annual CHAIRity Art Auction and towards a new furnace for the studio. The Board of Directors, staff and artists-in-residence are grateful for your support that will make it possible for us to continue to invite artists from around the world to come to Utica to create new work, to share their creative process with a welcoming community, and to meaningfully connect with one another as well as to our neighborhood during the months they live at their Wiley Street home. Sculpture Space has evolved into an extraordinary organization; one that not only enriches the cultural scene of the Mohawk Valley but also serves to promote it; after the artists depart they continue to share their positive experiences and through these reminiscences, become informal cultural ambassadors. Thank you for recognizing and appreciating this very distinctive value. We are truly grateful for your gracious consideration.

Sincerely yours, Monika Burczyk, Ph.D Executive Director, Sculpture Space

5/30/14, Hi Bernie, I have been remiss to reach out to you and your team after all these months since the November 2 auction of Mom's house to say "Thank you!" I met a couple at work from Fulton visiting San Francisco during a realty convention. They were at the auction! I nearly passed out! It is truly a small world! I forget their names but I believe he owns the building across the street from the old 5 and Dime ... condos now? Nice folks. All the the best and continued success.

Regards, Patrick Joseph

September 4, 2014; The Auction process was amazingly easy. After considering what to do with my household contents after selling my house I decided an auction was the best and easiest thing to do. I have been to Bernie's auctions in the past and found him to always have a good crowd of buyers at the sales. I met with Bernie and worked out the details. The auction was held on a Tuesday which made me slightly nervous due to people working, however we had well over 200 people attend. The day before the auction Wendy and Violet came to the house and set up the small stuff for the auction. They were done in 3 hours with what I thought would take all day. It was amazing to see how efficient they were with the setup. The day of the auction, the crew set up tables, chairs and a tent in no time at all. The crew made sure people who entered the home either took off their shoes or wore covers over them so the carpeting would not be dirtied. After the auction, the crew cleaned up the grounds and Wendy provided me with a complete listing of the auction items and the winning bids complete with the total for the day. I was very happy to see such a large total. Overall I was happy with the service and would recommend Brzostek's Auction Service to anyone looking to sell their items.

April 2, 2014; Hi Bernie! I just wanted to send a quick thank you for your participation in our Live Auction at our Great Chef’s Dinner on Sunday. I have worked with other Auctioneers for this type of thing, and I have to admit, you are by and far the most energetic and fun that I have ever seen. You brought so much energy to our evening and I am so grateful to you for your efforts and partnership for this event. As you requested, here are the numbers that we’ve generated from this portion of our benefit for a total of : $24,725. You certainly helped us reach our goals for the evening as the first time this particular event had a Live Auction and the first time ever that we’ve done a Fund A Cause. This is a component that I believe in from my other experiences and know that it can grow now that it has been introduced, and I hope that you enjoyed yourself enough that I can give you a call to partner with us in the future some day!

Many thanks again, Angelina Boungou Events & Development Specialist American Red Cross, Central New York Region

February 6,2014, Bernie, Thank you for being our auctioneer at our Annual ‘Cuse Champions Auction! We were wonderful to work with, and helped us raise over $130,000 for our first year!

Best wishes, April

December 23, 2013 , Dear Bernie, On behalf of Ronald McDonald House Charities of CNY, thank you for donating your time and discounting your services at the Annual Many Hearts One Home Celebration on Saturday, November 16, 2013 at the SRC Arena and Events Center. With your help, this year's celebration raised a record breaking $105,000 to support families whose children are hospitalized with serious illnesses and injuries. The hearts of our volunteers are what allow us to provide for so many families in need. Thank you again for your support of the CNY Ronald McDonald House.

Sincerely, Beth M. Trunfio, Executive Director

September 28, 2013, Dear Bernie, The Brothers of Kappa Sigma Epsilon Fraternity sincerely want to thank you for returning our missing paddles. The paddles are part of our historical heritage, and will again be displayed at our house at Alfred State College. Thank you so much for understanding their importance to us, and your generous act of removing them from your scheduled auction.

Sincerely, Kappa Sigma Epsilon Fraternity

September 23, 2013 Hi Amiee, I wanted to thank you for making this process so easy for me and helping me along the way with the purchasing of my first home. You made the process so easy and hassle free for me. I cannot thank you enough for all that you have done

Best Regards, Jacob D. Corlyon

September 17, 2013, Bernie, My aunt was a wonderful person and her home held a lot of good memories so it was not easy for her sister and I to make the decision on how to share her house and her belongings with others. Through word of mouth your name came up as the best in the business. Not only did you get us a good price for the house and contents but the person who will be living there I believe is someone my deceased aunt would want living there. In addition, the new owner will take on the care of the cats that were left behind. That was our biggest worry. You eased the pain throughout. Your staff is friendly, professional and hard working to say the least. No matter what the value of the items, care was taken for each and every one of them as they were auctioned off. We definitely would and will recommend you to others. Thank you Bernie and staff!

September 13, 2013, Hi Bernie, On behalf of my brother, Bob LaBarre and myself, I would like to thank you and your staff for everything you've all done to make the sale of my mother's home so much easier for us. I will admit that both of us were losing sleep leading up to the auction but we put our faith and trust in you and I'm so glad we did. Everything that happened on the day of the auction was done professionally and respectfully to my Mom. I would recommend you to anyone that is trying to sell a home. Thank you again to you and everyone at Brzostek's.

August 26, 2013, "My husband and I purchased rural and remote land in the Catskills in 1977, like so many young hippies were doing during that time period. It was a great place to camp, and "let it all hang out," and later we had small trailer that we enjoyed for many years. our primary home taking first interest, we outgrew our Catskill hideout over time. About 12 years ago, we decided to sell, and slower, year after year, went from realtor to realtor and promise to promise on how each one would sell the property, and none delivered--not one offer made through a realtor's effort. We decided last year to donate it to a non-profit or community group or nature conservancy type organization or something (anything!!!) of this sort where we might be able to help their Mission and profit line while relieving ourselves of the property. At the same time, we saw Bernie on TV, had him to our home, and tonight, within minutes, Bernie sold our property for a decent and fair price. He was wonderful with the crowd that was there: they were a tough group but he managed to bring them into the process and get them bidding, and I now really believe we will move quickly through closing and be done with this youthful obsession long outgrown. It is a great feeling to know that we will not need to start to interview organizations to find the right one to take the property as a donation--not an easy feat. After 12 years, our frustration is over, and we sincerely thank Bernie for all he did for us.

Diane DeMuth, Ithaca, New York, August 26, 2013

August 18, 2013, Amiee- This is a bit overdue, I've been meaning to write you since we closed on 201 Edgemont. John and I both wanted to thank you for all your assistance with the walk through inspection, the close, etc.... You were a pleasure to work with. Thank You again for everything!

Sunday, June 9, 2013, County auction rakes in a hefty surplus, The Jefferson County tax auction Saturday netted a $551,000 surplus for the county, said David J. Paulsen, county attorney and tax enforcement officer. With the sale of 58 residential, commercial and land parcels, the auction accumulated $873,650 in sales, which more than covers the $322,600 held in back taxes on the 66 auctioned parcels. Mr. Paulsen said the money would be placed in the county’s general fund, which could allow “supplementing the budget next year to keep the tax rate from increasing.” The auction drew 271 registered bidders with the highest sale going on a residential property in the town of Hounsfield. Initially assessed at $138,600, the property went for $93,000. Other notable sales include a truck terminal on Route 12 in the town of Pamelia. The property sold for roughly 5.65 percent of its $283,333 assessed value. Also up for bid was a former church-turned-boarding house in West Carthage. Despite occupant Scott A. Campbell’s attempts to buy it back, it was sold to an undisclosed neighbor for $65,000, the second-highest bid on a parcel. More than $11,000 in county back taxes is owed on the property, which the county put up for auction for an undisclosed minimum bid. The third highest bid went for the former Sir Robert Peel Motor Lodge on State Route 12, Alexandria, for 32 percent of the assessment value. The lowest sale was for $25. Bernard J. Brzostek conducted the auction in the Dulles State Office Building, 317 Washington St. Properties that went unsold will be placed up for auction again next year.

March 27, 2013, Bernie, I just wanted to say thank you very much for donating your time to our Signature Chefs Auction! As always you are the highlight of the live auction and make everything run so smoothly. This year you were instrumental in the success of the Fund the Mission portion and I cannot thank you enough for encouraging everyone to donate. This event surpassed budget in large part because of the fund the mission aspect and we cannot thank you enough!!!

January 31, 2013, Dear Bernie, Thank you so very much for your donation to Holy Cross Church. It is always a joy and pleasure to work with you and your marvelous team. You go where few would dare to venture and it is truly inspiring. I pray that you are blessed in abundance for the blessing you are to us at Holy Cross and to so many others. With every prayerful good wish, I am.

January 7, 2013, Bernie Brzostek , Auctioneer Extradonaire, A summary of the recent agreement to sell our building and contents, has to be concluded with the main subject being, a job well done. Your professional approach and understanding of our needs was very impressive. Your staff is well adapted to managing all aspects of a well thought out process, that makes this happen. The courteous and focused manner that makes your organization function as a team, did not go unnoticed. The thought of putting something of this magnitude, in someone's else's control, is a decision not taken lightly. I admit having reservations, but as we moved on to the midnight hour, you made it tolerable. We accepted the fact that we want a million dollars and the local economy dictates something over a dollar. Our attempts to sell over the recent years were of no avail. To wait any longer, for maybe more money, meant how long? We had been there. The auction. A risk that does not go unnoticed. People are questioning this move and our reply , it is time to go. This will work. Nothing else has. I asked that by the end of the day, that everything would be sold. You said Not to worry. I found later in the day, your signature saying, SOLD has a firm meaning of intention. I swear as the dust settled, you would have swept it up and sold that also, had I asked. Conclusion: You did everything , to the letter, as promised. You did your best to get the most for everything. Your honesty and integrity survived intact.

Thank you, Harold & Patti Ely Patti's Pools, 19 Co. Rt. 6, Phoenix, NY 13135

December 6, 2012, Bernie, Thank you for lending your professional services to Countdown to a Cure last week. Your efforts helped give our program professional polish. How could they not? After all, you are the greatest auctioneer in the world! We would recommend your services to other event producers. Please feel free to provide feedback regarding the event. We love feedback. I hope your wife and you had a nice time.

November 21, 2012, Dear Bernie: On behalf of Ronald McDonald House Charities of CNY (RMHC of CNY), thank you so much for being the auctioneer at our 30th Anniversary Celebration and Annual Homecoming Party, which was held on Saturday, November 10, 2012. We are so grateful for all the volunteers who helped with the event and allowed it to be such a tremendous success. AS a result of all your efforts, this year's Homecoming Party raised more than $94,000 to support families whose children are hospitalized with serious illnesses and injuries. We could not have celebrated 30 years of keeping families together without all the amazing volunteers who planned and worked at the Homecoming Party. As a result of generous community support over the past 30 years, our "Home Away from Home" has provided more than 17,000 families with a home cooked meal, a warm bed, and a place to relax and rejuvenate. It takes many hearts to make our home-the hearts of our donors and volunteers are what allow us to provide for so many families in need. Thank you for deciding to volunteer your time and talents to support all the guest families of the CNY Ronald McDonald House.

Sincerely, Brian Hayes

November 6, 2012, Bernie hosted the live auction for Hospice of Jefferson County on November 3, 2012 at the Hilton Garden Inn. He donated his services to this very worthy organization. He was professional, funny and entertained the crowd. People raved about how he handled the live auction. He is a consummate professional and we enjoyed having him there. Hospice of Jefferson County thanks him for his generosity and kindness to our organization. He has assisted in patient care for our terminally-ill patients with his donation of time and talent.

Thank you Bernie from everyone at Hospice

October 18, 2012, Dear Bernie: You made selling my father's house, and finding someone to clean out the house, the most stress free thing our family has done in a long time. My elderly father knew he could not stay at home any more and needed much more care. You came to the facility where he now resides and explained to him the process of selling his home in a comfortable and easy manner. We wanted to thank you and your staff for doing such an excellent job in guiding us through the process, and the house was sold in one day. We were very satisfied with the sale.

October 17, 2012, Dear Bernie, We have recently closed on the two properties located on 700 and 719 Dewitt St. We could not have accomplished this without your assistance. Since the properties are a part of the trust, I was dreading the entire process; you made this as simple as possible. You and your staff took care of everything!!! You were able to sell the items in the 719 property, and had the lot completely cleaned up, ready for the new owner to move in. The Rental property (700 Dewitt St.), I would have bet was going to be a lot of paperwork and more difficult to complete. If it was, I did not see it, all I had to do was sign on the dotted line. We have always enjoyed attending your auctions, and now I have more time and money to spend with you. Thank you so much!

September 24, 2012, We would like to thank you and your staff for a job well done. My Nephew Sam came up with a idea to Auction my sister's house, rather then giving it to Real Estate to sell. Well we got a hold of you(Bernie) and you laid it all out for us and we liked what you had to say. And guess what it SOLD in ONE DAY!! You and your staff are the BEST. Thanks.

Peter Losurdo

August 30, 2012, Bernie and Wendy, Thank you both so much for doing our household sale. Your staff worked like a well oiled machine as well as being more than professional. They were very careful not to damage the house. It was virtually effortless on our part. We considered a sale but glad we went with you! Thank You!

David and Julie Venditti

August 5, 2012, Bernie, I needed to sell my house and its contents on County Route 6, Tibbetts Point Road, Cape Vincent,NY. Nothing was selling as evidenced by the 9 properties for sale on the two mile stretch of Tibbets Point Road that my house was on. Many of the properties had been on the market in excess of 3 years. Putting a sign out front and watching the price drop, drop, drop for three years wasn't an attractive option while experiencing caring costs. I knew I had to find someone exceptional to sell my property. After interviewing three auctioneers, Bernie Brzostek was head and shoulders above the rest. Bernie overflowed with energy, know how, and enthusiasm. Bernie's advertising of the house and its contents brought in a huge crowd and the property sold at auction for a great price. An identical house is for sale today next to the property Bernie sold for me. In a years time, the price has dropped $50,000 and considering the carrying costs, if it sold today at the present asking price, which it will not, it would sell for less than what Bernie sold my house for over a year ago. If you want results, call Bernie. Bernie Brzostek's the best!

June 28, 2012, Hi Bernie, In addition to the staff's thank you, I would like to add my personal thanks to you for offering your time to the Kidney Foundation's Golf auction. We were all so amazed with your unbelievable skill at working the crowd. You are an expert in your trade and certainly garnered a lot more dollars than we ever could. Thank you. I also enjoyed dining at the table with you. It was fun sharing our Polish "commonality". On behalf of all those patients who will most benefit from your generosity, I thank you.

Take care, Marion - Marion Makhuli Chief Executive Officer National Kidney Foundation of CNY 731 James Street, Ste. 200, Syracuse NY 13203

April 14, 2012, Bernie and Crew: The family of James O'Herien would like to Thank You for the wonderful job you did with the auction. We were very pleased with how well things went. Bernie, we hope you are feeling better very soon. Even after being in the E.R. the night before our auction, you still did everything with a smile. Our hats off to all of you!!!

Thanks again, The O'Herien Family

March 29, 2012, Bernie, I just wanted to say a huge thank you for all your help with our event on Monday! You always do such a fantastic job and I can't thank you enough. This year's event broke every record and raised over $58,000-which is $11,000 over goal. A large part of this is due to your ability to get people bidding in the fund-the-mission and live auction.

Once again thank you! Chelsea A. Casciano Community Director, March of Dimes

February 5, 2012, Hi Bernie, On behalf of Walter, thanks for the incredible auction yesterday. As you said, all the "players" showed up in the last 15 minutes, which was simply astonishing. You really are a master at working the crowd, too. This auction will resolve all of his financial woes, and change his life for the better, especially in light of the sequence of events that caused him to have to sell his beloved building and antique business, which caused him to hemorrhage financially. I assure you Walter will be writing a great testimonial for your website shortly. Again, thank you for your kindness in advance, and all your hard work in bringing about such a successful auction to fruition. Both Walter and I look forward to doing more business with you in the near future. Incidentally, I'd love to get an email copy of the photos of the "sold" sign standing next to Walter yesterday. This will be framable.

Warmest regards, Schani Krug

January 30, 2012, Bernie, Just a small note expressing my thanks to you and your staff for the a job well done in helping me sell my sculptures.

Many people commented about the humor you added to the auctions. You helped to raise $70,000 which will enable HOPE to provide our support groups and core services at no charge for the newly bereaved. The dinner was truly a Celebration of the 33 years that HOPE has been helping grieving children and adults of our community and beyond. Guests were praising every aspect of the evening. November 17, 2011, Dear Bernie, On behalf of the Boards of Directors of Hospice and the Hospice Foundation of Jefferson County, Inc. I extend our heartfelt thanks to you for donating you valuable time at our 2nd Annual Hospice Charity Auction and Gala on Saturday, November 5th. Your wise counsel, extreme energy and enthusiasm paid dividends with our auction netting $22,000. The live auction alone made within $300 of full retail value; a true testimony of your professional skills. It was a pleasure to meet you and I'm sorry that this was my last year with the event because I really enjoyed working with you. Hospice of Jefferson County prides itself in providing quality end-of-life care to members of our community regardless of their ability to pay. It is because of the support of our many friends and businesses that we have been able to continue providing this quality, compassionate care since 1985. All proceeds from the event will remain in the North Country to assist Hospice in serving the terminally ill and their families in Jefferson and Southern St. Lawrence Counties. Your generosity is most sincerely appreciated. I hope you will consider donating your services again next year for our 3rd Annual Charity Auction for Hospice on November 3, 2012.

Kindest Regards, Linda Sharlow-Foundation Director

Many thanks again, Kristin Earle & SHFH

October 18, 2011, Bernie, Sandy and I thank you so much for all your efforts in selling our camps. Just the fact we did not have to pay school taxes was a relief this fall, and all the extra money we were paying to keep those camps we can now use for doing things for fun in our retirement. Funny thing...one of the guys who was interested in buying our camps and who insisted on getting more property behind the camps just sold a camp next to his on the lake. I did not see the lot, but it had a camp and a boathouse and I'm pretty sure it has a lot bigger than the one you sold, yet he sold if for 45K...I guess he didn't really learn how to sell by watching you... I will probably have to sell more property up there, maybe even the house here. I just hope you are still running auctions when I need to sell.

Again, thanks. Carl and Sandy Weed

June 26, 2011, Bernie, I am reflecting what an unbelievable job you did selling my cottage at Brantingham lake for $140,000 when market value was $90-100,000 based on other brokers input. I'm still living comfortably on investing the proceeds!!

David Boshart

June 11, 2011, Dear Bernie, I want to say "thanks" for all your help at our recent fundraiser at the Suds Factory. We raised approximately $13,000 on that evening! Thanks Again! I really appreciate all your help!! I hope to see you @ next year's fundraiser!

Best Regards, Lawton Williamson-OCL

April 11, 2011, Dear Mr. Brzostek, On behalf of the March of Dimes staff, Board of Directors and event planning committee, please accept our sincere appreciation for your support of our Signature Chef Auction. We truly appreciate your willingness to donate your time as our auctioneer once again. This year's Signature Chefs Auction was our most successful and raised over $45,000 for the March of Dimes. This money will be used to support programs and services designed to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, prematurity and infant mortality. The goal of the March of Dimes is to have a day when every baby is born full-term and healthy. Through your support we feel confident that our efforts will succeed. Premature birth jeopardizes the lives and health of over 508,000 babies each year and is the number one killer of newborns. Locally, one out of every seven babies is born prematurely and it is through various fundraising events such as the Signature Chefs Auction that the March of Dimes is able to provide funding for cutting-edge research and targeted community programs to help give all babies a healthy start in life. Once again thank you for joining with us as we work towards improving the health of all babies. Your help was a huge factor in the success of this event and we appreciate your continued support.

Sincerely, Chelsea A. Casciano, Community Director, March of Dimes, CNY

April 3, 2011, Dear Bernard, Bernie always does exactly what he says he will, he is energetic, honest and gets the job done!"

April 2, 2011, Hi Mary, I would be very happy to talk to you about Bernie. As I said in my testimonial he has been both a family friend and I've known him professionally for many years. As an auctioneer we host websites and services for hundreds of auctioneers nationwide and Bernie ranks very high on that list. He works very hard for the seller to accomplish or get as close as he can to their goal. You will not find anyone more trust worthy and hard working in the industry. If you give him a realistic price and that is the key to work with he will do the rest for you. His marketing abilities are above that of most auctioneers. My family had a business to liquidate in Utica just a year or so ago when my brother got ill. Bernie was the first person I contacted he not only packed the house with bidders but got what we were hoping for and more. He was worth every dime of his commission and I would do it all over again the same way. My family were very pleased at how professional he was and took control from start to finish. Since I have a relationships with many thousands of auctioneers It is very hard for me to endorse just one but in this case I feel very privileged to do so... Trust in him and work with him that is the key to a successful sale!!! I am sure you will be singing his praises as well when all said and done... Good Luck on your auction and tell Bernie that I said hello please!

March 25, 2011, Dear Bernard, "There is not enough room to write about all the positives of Brzostek's Real Estate Auction Co., Inc. and Brzostek's Auction Service, Inc. I've worked with Bernard from both sides of the fence. My family used his services to liquidate one of our companies with great results! I have known him for many many years professionally in the auction industry as a service provider myself. To anyone considering or that needs an auctioneer, I strongly recommend using Brzostek's Auction Service. Bernard will make you more money$$$ and as well make the whole event a pleasure for you and/or your family... Bernard is a very hard working man of great character with a tremendous understanding of auctioning and marketing of any asset and knows the best way to realize the best return for the seller.

February 25, 2011, The Brzostek Auction Service is a first class, five star business providing a thorough, comprehensive analysis of your inventory assets from the moment he and his wife, Wendy, walk into your door until the item is sold. Their organization skills and work ethic will amaze you. I had heard about these traits and it is true - witnessed it myself. A very trustworthy outfit. I would recommend their service without reservations.

February 24, 2011, Bernard J. Brzostek is the finest Auctioneer in the country let alone New York State. His rapport, humor, and final results are without a doubt second to none. In addition, his staff's professionalism is superlative. From start to finish you can be confident that the job will be done correctly. I would be happy to speak with anyone that has any concern in using Bernie. Thank you.

February 24, 2011, Bernie Brzostek is tireless in contributing to the community's well-being. I've worked with him on countless fund-raisers... He brings wit and charm to charity auctions, entertaining the crowd and leaving audience members happy to support the cause. Auctioneering is both an art and a science, and Bernie is a master at both.

Tim Fox

February 24, 2011, Bernie is one of the best, and most ambitious, auctioneers in New York State. I have watched his business grow, since the time I worked for him as a teenager. He is one of the nicest people you could ever do business with. He has become a family friend.

David Hargett

February 24, 2011, Bernie has a natural talent for selling and he's a great people person. He makes the auction fun and often finds a way to get much more for each item. He's handled our wine auction each year since its inception and the results have been outstanding. Under Bernie's leadership the auction has raised over $80,000 for the MOST's educational programming. I'd highly recommend him for your auction!!!

February 24, 2011, I am a realtor doing business in the foothills of the Adirondack's. In the past few months I have had 2 elderly clients that wanted to sell the family homesteads and move to warmer climates...but they did not require the years of 'stuff' that filled their homes. A 'garage sale' or 'house sale' was too overwhelming for the contents involved. I called Bernie and his staff to speak with the homeowners and offer his service as an option. WHAT A GREAT OPTION! Both clients were so very happy with Bernie's professional service. Bernie's team has the auction perfected. Top notch auction with a high regard for the sellers of the home and nothing but comfort for the attendees of the auction. Both auctions netted my clients over 50k! The contents were gone in one day. The auction team work tirelessly the day of the auction. I HIGHLY recommend this company!

Robin Lawrence

February 23, 2011, Dear Bernard, You did an awesome job when I needed you to auction off my stuff before moving to Florida......Very professional and very detailed.....I would recommend you and will use you again.......

Thank You.....Jim Orlando

February 9, 2011, Bernie, Just wanted to thank you and your team for the great effort yesterday. Everybody from Mary who answers the telephone and coordinates the schedules and contracts to the retired guys that are helping, it's a great team that you have. Everything seemed so efficient and precise, very organized. You can certainly add me and Tompkins Trust Company to your list of many references should the need arise but I'm reasonably sure you have many satisfied customers that are willing to do testimonials for you. Take care and best wishes to all and thanks again.

Rick Lind Vice President Tompkins Trust Company

November 29, 2010, Amiee, It has been a pleasure working with you on these three real estate transfers. I will highly recommend your company should I have the opportunity.

Thank You, Patrick Galvin, Paralegal

November 28, 2010, Dear Bernie, Though some time has passed since our big real estate and contents auction on a hot day last July, we still look back with gratitude and a deepened appreciation for your handling of my mom's property. There were a lot of major decisions and competing ideas for how "best" to handle everything. At the time and in hindsight, we are ever more convinced that you were the best choice to handle the auction of mom's historic home, antiques, and North & South American Indian collection. Your quick actions on paperwork, photography, flyers, ads, and your phone accessibility to us plus your positive "can-do" optimism really helped relieve my apprehensions from previous talks with your competitors. Plus, the results were largely as you predicted, and your payments and real estate transactions went remarkably quick and smooth afterward. Your quality ad promotions, extensive website and good reputation did much to draw the good crowd that came out. We appreciate the way you personally, your wife Wendy, Aimee, and both Mary's on your staff all handled our business and concerns. I am happy to help promote your auction business to others and we wish you all the best.

Sincerely, John, Jr. & Suzanne Wellington,(john_wjr@hotmail.com) Mom - Ione Wellington P.S. The next day, a flea market operator, who attended my mom's auction and who attends many Central NY Auctions asked me why I didn't go with one of the other local auctioneers? He said Bernie's superior auction techniques were causing bidders to pay way to much for stuff that he wanted to bid on. As a veteran of many NY auctions, he thought we did very well with you.

November 18, 2010, You were awesome, Bernie!!! Thank you for all of your help! Next year we will definitely figure out how to keep everyone quiet! Best,

Caryn - Countdown To A Cure Benefit Auction Caesar's Club at Citi Field, 12301 Roosevelt Ave., Flushing, NY

November 17, 2010, Bernie, A quick note of thanks for your hard work on behalf of the Gerald Ware estate. In a span of less than three months you have sold for us a house, a hunting camp, an almost new car, and a house full of furnishings and possessions. I'm sure that if we had gone through the usual real estate route, both the house and the camp would still be sitting unoccupied with For Sale signs in front, while we wondered why our agent never called. Best wishes to you and your staff.

Lawrence and Dawn Mullen - Gerald Ware Estate, 58 Colosimo Dr., Fulton, NY & 2947 N. Osceola Road, Redfield, NY

August 26, 2010, Dear Bernie, I am writing to commend you on the magnificent work that you have done for the Church and many individuals in our parishes in assisting them in disposing of household items, homes, cars and boats. On three occasions I have entrusted to you items that were beloved by families, and you helped to get them to the right buyers and provided the families a wonderful return. Your work is truly a ministry and you do it with transparency and in a spirit of responsible trustworthiness. Thank you for all you have done and will continue to do for individuals and families in the years ahead, which I pray will be many and blessed. With every prayerful good wish, I am,

Gratefully yours, Rev. Msgr. J. Robert Yeazel-Vicar General

August 1, 2010, Good Morning Bernie, Robin and I have attended two of your auctions now and if we said it once..we said it 20 times, that without doubt or qualification your preparations for and the conducting of auctions is a "stand alone" class of its own. There is no question that you represent the owners items in such a manner that the dollar item, gets the excitement that the $50. item receives. Your presentation (crowd allowing) is smooth, functional and QUICK. Well done to your wife, daughter, crew and of course the master of ceremonies Yourself.

Bill Mongeau

July 26, 2010, Dear Bernie and Staff, I am writing on behalf of my mother, Ellen Newman. I would like to express my sincere gratitude for your hard work, dedication, and professionalism. One of the most difficult tasks a child must take on is the later life care of their parent. This is only exacerbated by the fact that she was living in New York, and I was in Chicago. Your hard work and personal touch really helped this move become much more manageable, as you undertook the selling over her home. I must admit, at first I was a bit skeptical of this situation, as I knew very little about house auctions. But I will say that within minutes of speaking with you and your staff, I was confident we made the right decision. You continued to keep us informed at every step, and were a man of your word. There are truly no words to express how grateful I am for all the effort that was put forth. I would recommend Brzostek's to everyone. Once again thank you so much. Having to worry about my mom's health & her original trip out here, while still trying to manage my own family (OF WHICH WILL BE ADDING A NEW MEMBER IN JANUARY!!!!) was made much simpler and smoother by you. You and your staff are what I like to call the "GOOD PEOPLE" of the world!

Daniel Newman

June 22, 2010, Dear Bernie, Just a quick note to compliment you and your wife and your staff. Through their hard work and lack of sleep, they were friendly, courteous and extremely helpful throughout the auction days. There were never to busy to answer a question or help with your purchases - always with a smile. We also realize both staffs reflect the personality, work ethic and public relations of those in charge. You both set a fine example while conducting a professional well orchestrated auction. Obviously this was a difficult family dynamics that you were faced with and you conducted the process within that dynamic very well. We enjoyed our conversations and will let you know when the General William Floyd Center becomes a reality.

Sincerely, The Marriott's

May 28, 2010, Dear Bernie, I want to express my sincere appreciation for donating your time and your talent to Onondaga Community Living's 11th Annual Fundraiser on May 25, 2010. You helped make this event a success for us and for the adults with developmental disabilities in Central New York who want to live a life they choose and be contributing members of their community. The world is truly a nicer place to be a part of when kind and helpful individuals, such as you and your family, give so generously of your valuable time! Thanks again and I look forward to your kind help again in May 2011!

Best Regards, Lawton Williamson-OCL

March 2, 2010, Dear Bernie,, I just received an envelope by certified mail! I didn't realize that the auction had been held the day before my husband's birthday. Many thanks for your help and speedy check. My dad and I are very pleased.

Sincerely, Jennifer Webb

March 2, 2010, Dear Bernie, All went very well. I had no idea what to expect or what time was required to turn all that merchandise into a completed sale. Since few of the furnishings were heirloom or truly antique, and since I was not immediately dependent upon the proceeds, I got back to my busy routine after the sale of the house itself without a huge expectation of what amount would be generated from the auction. I was very pleased to receive such a large amount only 6 weeks after the house closing. There was one more digit to the left of the decimal point than I'd counted on! I only knew that for the closing to happen, I needed to clear the house in preparation for its new owners. Robert and Kevin (did I remember their names right?) worked very hard, answered some questions for us, and packed up the large collection of items. My dad is very pleased that not only has the house been sold but also that now all these items have been auctioned to new owners. Thank you very much for doing such a lot to make the closing happen so smoothly on schedule. Feel free to use any remarks I've made in either e-mail. I'm glad that you helped me and my dad so much with the sale of his beloved house.

Appreciatively, Jennifer Webb and Calvin Herrala of Manlius, NY

January 2010, Bernie, Thank you so much for volunteering your time & skill to help us with Mr. Habitat. Because of your expertise we raised over $12,000! Have a Happy Holiday & a Prosperous New Year! (& See you at Mr. Habitat 2010!)

Dec. 2009, Dear Bernie, Family & Staff, Without you, Bernie & Staff, we wouldn't be enjoying our home in Fayetteville, NY. We are so thankful.

Merry Christmas to All! Best Wishes from Barbara & John Boyle & Family

11/20/2009, Hi Bernie, When my brother passed away this past summer, I was left with the responsibility of taking over his estate. It was a very difficult time for my family with trying to decide how to sell his home and his belongings. My first thought was to Auction everything. I did look at selling it through a Realtor, but then realized how much more would need to be done in the house to "bring it up" to a Realtors' standards. Knowing that the house sat in one of the less attractive areas of the city made it harder to get a Realtor to commit. Making that call to you and your Company set my mind at ease. When I came into your office, Amiee was so professional. She explained everything, and set my mind at ease. I was very concerned about getting enough to cover the mortgage and the outstanding bills. Amiee was very compassionate and addressed all my questions that I had about the estate. I knew that day I had made the right choice! I was so pleased at how well the Auction went! It was a chilly Saturday morning. Your crew showed up with a tent and chairs and even a heater for outside! You made everyone very welcomed and comfortable. It is so much fun to see you in action and how quickly the event went! I was amazed at how many bidders there were and that you had bids already through e-mails before the Auction even started! Your advertising and flyers were great too. The results were much better than I would have received from a Realtor! Thank you for all that you did. If anyone is not sure which way to go, I say "Auction" and go with the best!

Amy K. Balcum Administrator for David Baxter, 116 Baldwin Ave., Syracuse, NY Oct. 17, 2009

10/10/2009, Dear Wendy & Bernie, When you think about an auction, you go the the best, Brzostek's Auction Service. How do you describe better than "best"? If you were at our estate auction on October 3rd you would say: organized, professional, and done in the highest possible state of excellence. Thank you both and thanks also to all of your associates.

Sincerely, Bob & Sherly Brown 1382 Emery Road, Fulton, NY

09/30/2009, Dear Bernie, Amazing is what you and your Company are. I am so pleased with Brzostek's I can't even begin to put it into words. We had this piece of property on the Real Estate market for over 4 years. No one ever came close to one good offer. It took you 40 minutes to make our dream come true. This was our life. What happen that day meant how we spend the rest of our retirement. Thanks to you we will have a very nice retirement life. Thank you again for all you did.

Sincerely, Beverly Sylvester, Sylvester's Auto, 1107 Clark St. Road, Auburn, NY 13021

09/16/2009, Dear Brzostek's, Whoever did not attend this auction missed the best show in town! Your advertising brought out a serious crowd, while comfortable chairs, bathroom facilities, and refreshments made sure they stayed around. Your staffers were very organized and worked together seamlessly; you had a generator and compressor to inflate the tires on my trailer, saving me a big hassle. The auction itself was a marvel of impeccable timing and pacing to bring out the high bids, while keeping people entertained and wrapping up right on time. Everything was planned down to the last detail. It was a lot of fun too! I am sure that you netted me much more money with less hassle than any other auction service. Now I am in a much better position to move out of state next year. I will definitely recommend you to anyone who has quantities of stuff to sell!

Thanks so much! Helen Harrison helenharrison53@gmail.com

09/01/2009, Bernie, I knew you were good but never realized how good until witnessing the auction at my folks home at 4 Homer Street in Union Springs on Sunday, August 30th. I have been aware of your services through the years but never could have imagined how organized everything was from the first phone call to you a few short months ago. The onsite open houses conducted were excellent and attracted many viewers as you promised. The day of the sale you organized the property with your staff who all worked in harmony for the common goal of being successful for us and they are all wonderful. I was able to chat with them throughout the auction and let them know how much we appreciated their hard work and professionalism while doing what they do so well. As to the actual sale, we couldn’t have been happier during these down turn times of the economy. The sale price you worked out of the bidders, and you sure did work for it, was remarkable and was thousands more than we expected. It was a pleasure to see you work and interact with the bidders in the way that you do having them be a big part of it all. Speaking of bidders, it was also amazing that you had 92 registered bidders at this sale who were very active in bidding and continued to stay throughout the auction regardless of the rain. After reviewing the bidders list I couldn’t help but also notice that some drove as far as two hours to be there. It is remarkable how far your influence reaches. Also, a special thanks to Amy in handling the paperwork in a very professional way so that each party understood everything that was being signed that day with the home sale. She is very professional and a pleasure to work with. Her phone calls and email's leading up to the auction were a great source of information also. I never once felt like I was out of the loop but was included in every aspect of the sale from the get go. I could ramble on about the great results you achieved but in a nut shell if someone is on the fence as to using your service, I would recommend very highly getting off the fence and make that phone call. They certainly will not regret the decision and will have peace of mind throughout the entire process leading up to a very exciting and successful sale.

Thank you so much, Jerry Strayer (representing Mr. and Mrs. George Strayer)

Bernie, My sister called and said, the auction of our late mothers estate, was handled in an extremely professional way, with the results we were expecting. Plus I would like to express my thanks to your wife who did miracles with the clean up and presentation of the property, for auction. Thank you very much your professionalism was appreciated.

Herb Grasse, Scottsdale, Arizona grassedesign@earthlink.net

08/24/2009, Dear Bernie, Wendy and staff... I have never had to do an Estate auction before. I was a little intimidated at first and really didn't know what to expect. I probably asked some silly questions, but you handled them expertly and calmed my worries. Then it came to the Open House. I just couldn't believe the work your wife did to get mom's house looking so nice. It had never looked so good. I said it then, and I will say it now, she is a MIRACLE WORKER. Then came the auction itself. I got there the night before, and when I walked into the house, there was another surprise waiting for me. Your wife and staff had set everything up with your tables, boxes and trays for an auction that ran very smoothly. When you got there the morning of the event, your staff had the tent, audio, food and office all set up like clockwork. I was so impressed with it all. I got a little worried I wasn't going to get the minimum price I had set in my mind for the house, but with your patience and perseverance, you were able to get it done. I still am still in a little disbelief that you did so much for me and without grumbling or refusing to answer my dumb questions. It was very nice getting to meet you and your wife, and I will certainly refer you to people I know who need a wonderful auctioneer. I just cannot say THANK YOU enough for all that you did. It was nothing less than a Godsend. THANK YOU....

Linda Grasse-Murray/Virginia Grasse Estate lgmappy@peoplepc.com

08/22/2009, Dear Bernie, Wendy & Staff, Wanted the world to know what a great job you all did on my household auction. The whole crew was very professional, fast, effective, and knowledgeable. I could not have made this move without your help and expertise; too overwhelming for me. Thank you for all of your help and dedication in making my life so much easier.

Respectively yours, Jean M. Freeman jmfree46@yahoo.com

08/05/2009, Dear Bernie, Thank you so much for joining us for the MOST's 2009 Savoring Science Gala at the Lemon Grass and Bistro Elephant. The food was fabulous, the service was magnificent and we are honored that you were able to join us for this truly wonderful evening. The entire event was a great success and 2009 proved to be a record-breaking year! Your support helped us raise more than $70,000 to benefit the MOST's important science education programs. The live auction raised over $12,000 thanks to your superior negotiation talents! Because of your generosity, the MOST can continue to bring important hands-on science learning activities, educational and entertaining exhibits, and IMAX films to our community. Your efforts help to lay the foundation for the future success and prosperity of Central New York. We hope that we can count on your participation again next year. Again, thank you for your support of the Savoring Science Gala and the Milton J. Rubenstein Museum of Science & Technology.

Sincerely, Anthony J. Ortega- Executive Vice President

07/19/2009, Dear Bernie & Wendy, Jean & I want to "thank you" for the fabulous auction you held for us July 19, 2009. You are the epitome of Professionals - you are both amazing people, it will always be a great event in our lives that we met you both!

Sincerely, George & Jean Kerstetter, 19 Wall St., Auburn, NY

July 2009, Dear Margaret, A few months ago, you handled the contents of my mother's home in Union Springs. I want to express my great thanks and appreciation for your kindnesses that day. It was a very hard day for me - I hadn't been in her home in a few months, and seeing her things and furniture packed up made me miss her so very much. (She passed away just last fall.) You understood and your empathy and your warmth meant so much to me. I cannot adequately express it, except to say, you are an angel.

All my best, Martha Cowen P.S. All your people are wonderful, too!

06/19/2009, Bernie, I'm Matty from Medina, the freezer I bought at the Syracuse auction is working fine. Good auction... great auctioneer... you moved right along, not to mention your humor was great too. Thanks again, you will see me again.

Matty

05/26/2009, Bernie, I just wanted to thank you, your family, and your wonderfully professional staff for selling Mom's house and "Stuff" on Saturday. I have worried for years how we would ever clear out that house and the Brzostek way made it easier than I ever could have imagined. I think we got a fair price for the house, all things considered, and I am so happy that it is "sold". When the buyer made it clear that they did not want the few leftover items, and wanted us to get rid of them, I got creative and placed a free ad on Craigslist Saturday night. Posted photos of the bed, sofa, chair, hospital bed, and listed the sizes of the clothing. Said it was available for free on Sunday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Well, there were people sleeping in their trucks in the driveway when my brother Bernie arrived at 6:20 a.m. and from then on it was a steady stream of at least 30 people that took away all of the furniture except one chair and nearly all of the clothes and much of the other stuff that was available in the main house and the attic and basement. They even volunteered to take away some trash and empty boxes for us. These people were so extremely appreciative of the opportunity they could not thank us enough. The hospital bed was taken by a man from down the street whose wife is handicapped and did not have a hospital bed. A couple of the women had house fires and really needed clothing. It was a really uplifting end to the weekend to be able to help so many needy people. I look forward to working with Amiee to get the real estate deal closed. You did a great job selling my grandparents' home over 25 years ago, and again selling Mom's home this weekend. Thanks again for everything, and for being our "family auctioneer".

Barb Spoon, Marion Doehling, and the rest of the McDermott-Doehling family

01/13/2009, Dear Bernie, I'm writing to convey our many thanks for the wonderful job you and your staff did selling our home in Pennellville. This home had been in our family for 80 years, so you know there was a lot of resistance letting it go. In fact, it was so very overwhelming, we would probably never have done anything at all. You recognized a very sensitive situation and stepped in to lead and help us along a very painful journey. I'm not sure I can thank you enough. I don't know what we would have done without you. Your staff also deserves kudos. They were all so patient and helpful. And you folks work so hard!!!

Thanks again, Chris Murphy (Estate of Catherine & Raymond Pluff, 565 Stewarts Corners Road, Pennellville, NY)

12-15-08, Dear Bernie, We cannot thank you enough for selling our house and "making it happen" at the auction. After having our house on the market since February of this year with two realtors and not one offer, we were about to give up. Enter: Bernie Brzostek and "The Brzostek Auction" route. At first, we were hesitant, but after viewing you in action in Syracuse, we decided you could sell our house. No way would we have sold the house without you, your expertise, knowledge, Humor, and Energy! We simply cannot be happier. Your staff couldn't be better and/or nicer. Please thank Pat and Mary for all their work at the open houses. The plastic floor protector material was wonderful. Best wishes for a Merry Christmas and a happy, healthy, and prosperous 2009! By the way, you just might see us at a future auction, as it is an amazing process.

Thanks again, Bernie, Barbara & John Boyle, 242 Paddock St., Watertown, NY 13601

November 17, 2008, Dear Bernie, The Central New York Transportation Club and I would like to thank you for making our benefit auction a huge success. We all appreciate you donating your time and expertise year after year to our event. Your professionalism, quick wit and candor helped to make our evening a memorable experience for all that attended.

Thank you again, Marc Tarbay - 2008 Auction Committee Chairman Central New York Transportation Club

November 2008, Dear Bernie, Thank you for your generous support of the March of Dimes Signature Chef's auction a few weeks ago. I can't tell you how much we appreciate all that you did to make the event a success. Little did we know that in addition to your auctioneering talents, we would also need your speaker/sound system!! Thank you for saving the event with that!! You are an incredible auctioneer and make such a connection with the crowd -- thank you for helping us raise so much money for the babies! Even more important, you are a great person.

Thanks so much! Lisa Rounsbury March of Dimes

November 2008, Dear Bernie, Thank you so much for your support of our Art Auction! As usual, you made it fun and successful!

Kathy and the JA Board

October 2008, Dear Bernie, I am so glad I had the chance to work with you. I enjoyed meeting you so much. Thank you for offering your expertise to me in regards to our auction. Your opinion is highly respected. The choice to purse YOU for our Professional Auctioneer was probably the most important and valuable thing I could have done for our event. What a terrific job you did. Rhonda, my co-worker & friend, was dead-on in praising you. The energy and humor you shared with the crowd just shows why you have the success you do. Quite frankly, I think you deserved all good things.

Thanks for your time & God bless you. Laura, March of Dimes

October 28, 2008, Dear Bernie, Thank you for making a difference in the lives of the children and families we serve by supporting the Children's Consortium's 35th anniversary celebration, "A Starry Evening of Champagne and Diamonds" that was held on October 10, 2008 at the OnCenter Complex. Thank you so much for joining us as our auctioneer extraordinaire. As expected, you brought tremendous excitement to the event! The evening was a huge success, raising over $30,000 for Consortium programs and services. Thanks to your generosity, we will be able to continue providing our unique and effective home and center-based programs to the most in-need families in our community. Thank you again for sharing your evening with us and for your support of the Children's Consortium.

Sincerely, Linda Cleary Executive Director of Children's Consortium, Syracuse, NY

October 19, 2008, Dear Bernie, Just wanted to send a quick message to thank you and your staff for all your help in auctioning the property of the estate for which I am executrix. I admit that the task seemed overwhelming and I could not imagine how both the real and personal property could be disposed of in one day, but at the close of the auction everything was gone. I was shocked that when I could finally get to the house that everything was set on tables and already sorted through and organized. It was a tremendous help and relief to walk in and see all that work done since I am dealing with illness in my immediate family. It was also refreshing to find honest people as was shown when your wife handed me the cash that was found in one of the cabinets. I truly appreciate the help that you gave me at this difficult time. Thank you again for your professionalism and hard work.

Very truly yours, A.M. Bossong,Gaheen Estate, 7779 Bell Rd. N., Rome, NY ambms@verizon.net

September 10, 2008, Dear Bernie, The River Hospital Foundation Board and the Festive Evening Committee would like to express our appreciation for your extraordinary auctioneering job the evening of July 27th at Joey's Thousand Islands Club Restaurant. Everyone who attended Festive Evening enjoyed themselves very much and praised the live auction. You combined humor and expertise as an auctioneer which enabled the Foundation to raise a great deal of money for River Hospital. We would be so pleased if you would continue to lead this auction. Thank you very much for your time and commitment to River Hospital Foundation's Festive Evening. We truly appreciate everything you have done over the past two years in support of this event.

Sincerely, Lynn R. Dobbins, Executive Director, River Hospital Foundation, Inc., Alexandria Bay, NY

August 28, 2008, Dear Bernie & Family, I cannot express deep enough thanks in words for all you have done to help our family. We are extremely pleased with the results of the auction and how hard everyone worked! What a truly dedicated staff you have! I was amazed at how smoothly the auction went and how well prepared everyone was. It is hard to believe you do all that everyday! With your many years of experience and the personal relationship you had with my parents-there were no doubts that Brzostek's would do a great job!

With sincere thanks, Audrey Madigan & Family Unreserved Real Estate & Contents Auction 21 Sunset Terrace, Baldwinsville, NY 13027

August 5, 2008, Bernie, I don't have a question - just wanted to touch base since it's been just about a year since my property was sold. I still rave about your service to everyone I know who is considering selling something large. Things are absolutely wonderful for me and I do not regret the auction for one minute. If you ever have anyone anxious about doing things your way, have them contact me. I will give them some honest feedback. Hope all is well with you.

July 31, 2008, Bernie, Thank you so much for the fantastic job that you did with the auction at our parents' house on July 19th (2657 Manrow Road, Auburn, NY). We are very grateful for the extraordinary service that you and your company provided for us.

July 16, 2008, Hi Bernie, Thank you for taking care of our auction on State Route 69 in Camden on July 3rd. You were very professional and entertaining and yet to the point which made the experience quite easy for Bob and I. We are sol glad that the land has been sold and we can go on now without the continued property taxes and other expenses that we have dealt with for sol long. I would recommend anyone to check out your service to sell property that is not selling on the usual market. We tried to get this sold with realtors and then tried to sell it ourselves to no avail. You did in one day what we could not accomplish in 2 years.

Thanks again. We will surely recommend you to our friends Pat & Bob Allen pattyanne61@verizon.net

July, 2008, Margaret, Thanks for the great service and kind approach to getting rid of some favorite old things.

May 16, 2008, Bernie: Thank you so much for the extremely successful auction that you held at our house in April. We had sold our house and needed to move out in a hurry. We were very panicked about what we would do with all of the contents since we were moving to Florida. You repeatedly assured me that all of the contents would sell and we wouldn’t need to discard anything when the auction was over. Well, you were absolutely correct! The day before the auction Wendy and Erma came and set up the smaller items for sale on tables in the garage. The morning of the auction you and your very efficient employees set up the tent in the driveway, you took video of the larger items and the auction was ready for show time early. You advertised well in advance and thus we had well over 100 bidders attend the auction. Your auctioning skills and your humorous presentation made the auction time of 3 hours move very quickly. Because of your wife’s efficiency in recording every item, bidder number and sold price, you were able to hand me a printout of all of the items that were sold and how much they went for directly after the auction. I had someone in the audience record the same and you were right on. Your honesty and professionalism were greatly appreciated. After the auction your employees were more than willing to help carry and load the heavier items to vehicles, even though they were taking down the tent and the rest of the setup. We received my check immediately in the mail and am a very satisfied customer. We decided to write this letter to you so that you can post this on your website. I had read many of your testimonials prior to the auction and now I believe every one of them!

Thanks from the Sunshine State, Yvette and Larry Shields, 4359 Forestbrook Drive, Liverpool, NY yshields@lightningspeed.net

December 27, 2007, Dear Bernie, Thank you so much for attending the EVENING ON THE ORIENT EXPRESS that was held on November 11 at the Beeches. The evening was a huge success with over 350 attending and raising over $35,000 in funds to benefit the Rome Memorial Hospital Foundation. The success of this event was a huge step forward in the continued success of the foundation and could not have been possible without the tireless efforts of the events steering committee and sponsors. Thank you so much for volunteering to provide our Live Auction with your talented auctioneer services at this year's event. We hope you enjoyed your time with us and will consider joining us again next year. Thank you for your generosity and help. We couldn't do it without your support.

Happy Holidays, Kerr Flanders, Executive Director-Rome Memorial Hospital Foundation

October 28, 2007, Dear Bernie: Thank you for a job well done. When we first met and talked about the property that I wanted to sell, I was very apprehensive. Your interest, and visit to see the property within days, showed me a very aggressive nature. That, and the fact that you invited us to watch you in action, in the Niagara Falls area were very instrumental in our listing with you. After watching you in action, our minds were made up, and we made our decision right then and there. It has been a rather rare occasion to see the professionalism displayed by you and your people behind the scenes. This has been one of the very few times that everything was run like a fine tuned watch. We certainly are satisfied with the price you got for the hotel, and I'm sure the new owners are happy with their purchase. The local townspeople were totally amazed that you got the price that you did. They had expected it to sell for about half or less than you got. It was a pleasure to get to know you and to do business with you. I will highly recommend you to anyone looking to sell property.

Best regards, Earlotta and George Karam, 30 E. Main St., Corfu, NY

October 2007, Dear Margaret, Thank you for making the removal of Leon's things so easy. It was a real pleasure meeting you. I hope that we will have an occasion to work together again.

August 7, 2007, Bernie: I'll admit, I was very skeptical.... no, I was scared to death! I have told a countless number of people that if I had to do it again, I would not hesitate to use your auction service. I should have done it sooner. Brzostek's did more for me in three weeks than two realty companies did in two years, and I sincerely mean that. The advertising, signage, and website certainly got the message out in a professional manner. That brings me to my next thought.....your staff. I was amazed at your entire process. The day of the auction your staff arrived exactly when they said they would, went to work setting up everything in my yard, packing items for display, and labeling items, and they did it all in such a friendly, professional way. Wendy made me feel more at ease by telling me the story of your first auction in Cape Vincent years ago, and sympathized with my anxiety. I believe your staff looked after my best interests in my home before, during, and after the auction. I also watched them assisting bidders locate and load their items. I was surprised after the auction when you presented me with the figures and the list of bidders and items. I supposed it would be appropriate to say that Brzostek's has gone "high tech" in the auction business. Your reputation as a fair, professional, and skillful auctioneer will certainly be upheld with me. You are named as the best because you are the best and your friendly and fun-loving personality take the edge off what can be a traumatic experience for someone in my position. In closing, I can only repeat what I stated above---my only regret is that I did not consider the auction method sooner. Thanks again for everything. I'm sure I'll see you at one of your future auctions.

Barb Ruel 7945 Cornwell Road, Baldwinsville, NY

July 24, 2007, Dear Bernie, Just a brief "e-mail" to thank you very much for your time and expertise on Sunday night. You were great and we had a great deal of positive feedback on the live auction. The Foundation Board and staff appreciate the donation of your time.

May 10, 2006, Dear Bernie, On behalf of the Kirkland Art Center and our Spring Art Auction Committee, I would like to thank you for an extraordinary job of auctioneering on the evening of our Art Auction. Many participants positively commented on having it at the art center so after two years I think we will stay with this as our venue. People seemed to enjoy themselves and also spent their money, which is essential at this type of fund-raiser. As I am sure you must know you are very good at what you do and people love it! I would like to extend our sincerest thanks and hope you will consider doing this again for us next year. With much appreciation.

Sincerely, Annette J. Clarke-Executive Director, Kirkland Art Center

January 16, 2006, The Daily Stair - Oneonta, NY, Bresee's bids farewell to fixtures of history, ONEONTA - Hundreds of people packed into the former Bresee's Department Store in Oneonta this weekend to witness the end of an era. Brzostek's Auction Service, from Phoenix, had an auction at the former store Saturday. Not just furniture, but also store fixtures, decorations, and pieces of history were up on the proverbial auction block. "It was the best store around here," Oneonta resident John Madsen said as the auction started. "I hope they have something else in here that fits the bill." Bresee's began having out-of-business sales in November. This auction was to sell any remaining merchandise - plus anything else left in the store. Shortly before those sales began, owner Marc Bresee declined to give a reason why he was closing the store. Bresee refused again Saturday and wouldn't comment much on the auction. "It seems to be going well," he said. Roger Gruschow, a Brzostek's employee, said there were about 400 registered bidders for the auction. Each bidder probably brought at least one other person with them, Gruschow said. "I'm amazed," Gruschow said, adding that the firm only expected about 200 bidders at the auction. "It's a huge turnout." The value of this auction, which was advertised as about $200,000, was the same as many of the other auctions Brzostek's handles, Gruschow said. Something else may have drawn so many people to the store, he said. "It's the curiosity factor." Gruschow said. "The place has been around for 100 years." Linda Martinez, of Oneonta, said she lived in Oneonta all her life and went to the auction because she knew there would be some good things. "We always came to Bresee's," she said before the auction started. "I wish the store still could be here." Martinez said she had always compared Bresee's to Macy's. "It's just sad to see if finally close. It's an end to an era that I grew up in," she said. Linda Taggart, of Walton, said she was looking for some good deals on furniture - if she could get it home. This furniture could replace a living-room set, she said. That set came from a warehouse sale at the store, Taggart said. "You had to run to the piece of furniture you wanted, sit on it, and wait for someone to make you a deal," Taggart said. "We're still using that living-room set we bought in 1985." Taggart, who was one of several people sitting on Bresee's floor when the auction started, said she remembered coming to the store with her mother when she was a child. "As a little kid, we'd come to Oneonta once a month," Taggart said. "Bresee's was an elegant store to come to." "They had these magnificent Christmas decorations," she said. Besides decorations, many of which were sold at an auction in 2003, people at Saturday's auction were able to get furniture at extremely reduced rates. "It cost Marc more than this when he bought it," auctioneer Bernie Brzostek said of a General Electric convection oven that sold for $875. Other "souvenirs" from the store had a small price tag. The old Bresee's safe sold for $10, and a set of posters went for $10.50. Three booths from the Health Bar sold for $5 each. Bill Hunt, of East Worcester, was able to buy a banner for $1 that welcomed to former Oneonta Yankees. Hunt also bought artificial plants and some Christmas decorations. "We'll make a big display," he said. "We're trying to make it bright." "Now I've got to figure out how to get it out of here," Hunt said. Ira and Laurie McIntosh, of Andes, brought their 1-year-old daughter, Ava Rose, to see the store and the auction. Ava's great-grandmother had her first ice-cream soda at the store, Ira McIntosh said. Ira's mother also brought him to the store when he was a child, he said. "I remember being a little kid and trying to run up the down (escalator)," Ira McIntosh said. Laurie McIntosh said she was taking pictures and videos of the store and the auction before it ended. "It's a local monument," Ira McIntosh said. Laurie McIntosh added, "We're sorry to see it go."

September 24, 2004, Dear Bernie, I just wanted to say a personal thanks for your professional services at the 2004 Charity Auction. Everyone loved your fun and lively interaction with the live auction - - and on a personal side -- I found you to be a joy to work with amongst the chaotic atmosphere. I was never worried because of your professionalism and expertise - I could relax knowing you had it "down"! So again, thanks so much and I hope to work with you in the future!

Gina Madden-Rescue Mission

September 23, 2004, Dear Bernie, A heartfelt thank you for giving of your time, talent and resources to help the Rescue Mission! August 11, 2004, Hello Bernie: I attended your auction last Thursday at your auction house for the first time. I just wanted to let you know that I was quite impressed. Not only are you and your staff very professional, but I was truly entertained throughout the entire auction. It was the first and only auction I was able to endure from start to finish! You have a wonderful sense of humor, and have a way of making everyone feel very comfortable. Your staff is polite and hard working and you made my first visit there a great buying experience! I will return again and again!! Thank you so much and keep up the great work!!!

July 12, 2004, Dear Bernie: Words can hardly express how grateful I am to you and your staff for your efforts in conducting a highly successful auction of the house and property at 850 W. LaFayette Ave. in Syracuse on June 27, 2004. As you know, I was considering the possibility of having to have someone conduct a sale of the furniture and other items in the house, which would have left me with the house to sell on my own. The way you handled the auction from beginning to end was very efficient and highly successful, and I was left with peace of mind. I wish that the so-called "reputable" auction dealer, who offered me $3,000 for the contents of the house, could somehow find out the extent to which your efforts far exceeded his "generous" offer. I am most appreciative for everything you have done.

Sincerely, Mary Ann McSweeney {Note: The Contents sold for $24,000+ @ the auction!}

June 20, 2004, Dear Bernie: I wanted to let you know just how much I enjoyed the auction you did yesterday. I don't think I have ever been to a better one. You kept us laughing and attentive all day, your crew is the most hard working I have ever seen and your methodology is very efficient - offering, looping back around for the next round, etc. Anyway, if you ever have another auction involving miniatures, which is highly likely given the size of the Syracuse miniature club, please let me know as I will not see any of your advertising on a regular basis, being in PA. and I would love an excuse to attend another of your auctions. Thank you again for a wonderful day - It was probably the best auction of any kind I have ever been to. April 28, 2004, Dear Mr. and Mrs. Brzostek & Crew: I intended to write to you sooner but I've had a busy week. I wanted to thank you for the excellent job you and your crew did with my auction. I was extremely pleased with the results. I never imagined I had so much "stuff" besides all the tools to sell, nor did I expect to make as much as I did. Again, thank you for the terrific job you and your very efficient and organized crew did. I am very pleased with the results and now have so much more room in my garage!

Sincerely, Jeanne Clickner Dexter, NY

March 10, 2004, Dear Bernie, On behalf of the Heart Ball committee and the Board of Directors of the American Heart Association thank you for auctioneering for the "Heart Ball 2004". We are very grateful for your contribution to assure the success of our "Great Loves Through History" gala! Thanks to you, and many generous local businesses we had the most successful Heart Ball ever and should net $265,000 to fund local programs and research. Events such as the Heart Ball help increase public awareness of the community's #1 and #3 killers, heart disease and stroke, and hopefully reduce toh toll these diseases take. For your early planning, our 2005 event will be held on February 26th. We hope you will be able to be with us again next year. Our sincere thanks for supporting the local American Heart Association Bernie.

Sincerely, S. Jeffrey Bastable - Heart Ball Chairman & Stephen F. Meyer - Co-Chairman American Heart Association

February 27, 2004, Bernie, First & foremost I want to apologize for taking so long to write to you - Things have been very hectic for me. I want to Thank You for conducting such a great auction on my building. It was so professional-beautifully done-just all the time at the showings & set up on the day of the auction, your hard work certainly paid off. I was very pleased with the outcome - no one could possibly work as hard to get the results you got. I certainly have spread the word to others-everytime I see my old customers & friends. I tell them Brzostek's is the way to go! You work the hardest & are the most professional in the auction business & get the best results. I also want to thank Amiee on her quick call back to me when I called the office.

Again, Thank You, Isabel Losurdo 2510 James St., Syracuse, NY

January 6, 2004, Bernie, I have to apologize first of all for taking so long to write and send you this thank you letter. In 1999 we moved from Syracuse to Baldwinsville and we were unable to sell our house. We had Real Estate Agents, that because of it's location would not even think of putting it on their books. To us the location had been a selling point, but now when we tried to sell it worked against us. We rented for a number of years in order to try to at least pay the mortgage. Finally in 2002 we realized that we were not getting anywhere and renting was only destroying any equity we had in the house, besides the fact that the house was becoming warn from renting. We decided that we had to sell. After looking again at the traditional methods we did not have much hope. The location once again stood in our way. We contacted you and decided that no matter the Outcome we would sell it. Other home values in the neighborhood seemed to have plummeted even worse than where they were in 1999 and we really had very little hope of getting at all what we thought the house was worth. However after talking to you we had a bit more hope for at least a little closer to what we felt it was worth. You setup the auction and did all the advertizing, held 2 open houses and then the night of the auction came. We arrived early which was rather a disheartening thing because when you get there first you hope people will be standing in line. However at that time no one was there, which was really a good thing anyway. However within a very short time people began to show up. More and more people and by observing them I could see a genuine interest. I saw that many seemed to really be commenting on the things that we did when we first saw the house before we bought it. You arrived, unfortunately after having a flat tire! But perhaps that gave us a chance to have just a little bit more people. Whatever the case after a while you started the auction, and within the first 3 bids, the bids were already more than what we expected, our spirits began to rise. Finally the bidding ended, the people who bought the house were a small family and they were going to do the needed repairs and really seemed to appreciate the house for themselves. This was truly a very good feeling for us as we hoped that a family that might have been a little like us when we bought it, might look at it and build memories of their own in it. The final bid was more than we expected to get for the house after the comparing of prices etc in the Real Estate papers and magazines. I can't thank you enough for handling our auction and have been meaning for a very long time to write this thank you note. Sorry it took so long.

Sincerely Ray and Kathy Kopp

May 11, 2003, Dear Bernie, On behalf of the Kirkland Art Center and our Spring Gala Committee, I would like to thank you for an extraordinary job of auctioneering on the evening of our Spring Gala. You surpassed last year's total and once again demonstrated the importance of having a professional auctioneer. People not only enjoy themselves but also spend their money which is essential at this type of fund raiser. Someone asked me this year who the entertainment was and I had to honestly say you! As I am sure you must know you are very good at what you do and people love it! I would like to extend our sincerest thanks and hope you will consider doing this again for us next year.

With much appreciation. Sincerely, Annette J. Clarke Executive Director

April 19, 2003, Dear Bernie, It has been 8 months since you auctioned our properties..I still marvel at your knowledge of just about everything concerning the sale of real estate. March 7, 2003, Dear Bernie, On behalf of the Board of Arts & Culture for Oswego County, I would like to thank you for volunteering your time and effort to Arts & Culture's Art Auction. The support that you have exhibited to Arts & Culture is truly appreciated. Without the help of supporters such as yourself, Arts & Culture would no longer exist and many valuable arts and cultural programs would be lost to our community. Thank you for your commitment in sustaining the arts. As Arts & Culture celebrates its tenth anniversary, we will continue to cultivate and increase our services. We strive to strengthen the growth and appreciation of the arts throughout our community. In addition to those services, every month we are showcasing a different artist's work here in our gallery space on 186 W. First St. In doing this, we continue to recognize the talent many of our community members possess. Please join us throughout April when photographer, Mark Knopp's work is displayed. The opening celebration will be Friday, April 4th at 5:30 p.m. Once again, thank you for your time and commitment to Arts & Culture for Oswego County and all that you contributed to our event. Your support is greatly appreciated.

February 3, 2003, Bernie & Amiee @ Brzostek's Real Estate Auction Co., Inc., THANK YOU SO MUCH!! For the excellent job that you both did for the Village of Lyons Falls in selling our Gould Mansion property. The Village Board and I are very pleased with the professional way that the transaction was handled right from the initial contact through to the closing. I certainly recommend Brzostek's Real Estate Auction Co., Inc. to any person or business that wants to sell their property in a quick, efficient, and professional manner.

December 18, 2002, Dear Bernie, I want to thank you once again for your generosity and talent that helped us raise over $27,000 on auction items and fund-a-cure at the 2nd Crystal Gala. At our first Gala, we made only one-half of that and this year fund-a-cure with your help, raised an outstanding $16,000. Thank you so very much. The Crystal Gala this year is being held on May 17th, a Saturday, at the Wyndham Hotel off of Carrier Circle. We would be so pleased to have you once again help us raise much-needed funs for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation as our auctioneer. November 4, 2002, Port Leyden Man becomes newest owner of Gould Mansion (By Steve Virkler-Watertown Daily Times), LYONS FALLS -- Stephen Kraeger used to consider the Gould Mansion and office building, Soon he'' be calling it home. During Sunday afternoon's auction at 3922 High St., the Port Leyden resident's final bid of $98,500 was enough to secure the 17-room, 100-year-old structure. With a 10 percent "buyers premium" tacked on, the full purchase price is $108,350. The mansion was originally the home of industrialist Gordius Henry Plumb Gould, who founded the paper mill here. However, Mr. Kraeger remembers it better as the mill's office when it was owned by Georgia Pacific. Mr. Kraeger worked there for four years before embarking on a nearly 30-year career in the U.S. Air Force, from which he has retired. And his father, Robert, worked at the mill for 30 years. "It's part of my life," Mr. Kraeger said of the Gould Mansion. "It's a majority of my life." Mr. Kraeger said he'd like to move his family into the house as soon as possible, then work on renovating it. "But I've got to pay the bill first,"he said. AS for the final price tag, Mr. Kraeger said he "would've like to have gotten it at $60,000." "But when you get above $60,000, it's all a matter of mortgage," he said. Mr. Kraeger, who grew up with six brothers and six sisters, said there are several carpenters in the family who he plans to "keep busy" with the renovation work. "It's still a little bid of a shock yet," Mr. Kraeger said about 10 minutes after auctioneer Bernard J. Brostek, Phoenix, announced he was the high bidder. And Mr. Kraeger's wife may even be more shocked, since she traveled to San Antonio over the weekend to watch their son, Andrew, graduate from basic training. Mr. Kraeger said he also would've like to attend the graduation but didn't want to miss the auction. Mr. Kraeger said he plans to keep his home on Wildcat Road outside the nearby village of Port Leyden, even after his family moves into the mansion. "That'll be our vacation home if we want to get away from the big city of Lyons Falls," he joked. Lyons Falls Mayor John M. McDonald said he's satisfied with the auction results, even though he would've "like to see it go for bigger money." "It's back on the tax rolls," Mr. McDonald said of the mansion, which is now owned by the village. "Hopefully, we have someone who will fix it up, and it will be an asset to the community." In 1975, Georgia Pacific turned the mansion over to the village, and in 1976, the Lewis County Historical Society moved in. In December, the society decided to move back into Lowville and spent the summer and early fall moving its collection from here to the county seat. While Sunday's auction was held in the mansion's front foyer, many of the more than 100 onlookers were forced to sit in a pair of adjoining rooms or stand on the spiral staircase in the back of the room. Of those, 27 people, several of them from the Syracuse and Utica areas, signed up to bid on the Gould Mansion. However, as the price crept up, most ignored Mr. Brzostek's bid-seeking comments like, "This is the price of a small house in the suburbs." Leticia A. Zehr, Lowville, began the auction with a $1 bid on behalf of her husband, Matthew A. but wasn't involved after that. At the end of what Mr. Brzostek called "Round 1," when bidding had stalled, William A. Gamble of New York City owned the high bid of $95,000. However, after a short break and a little cajoling from Mr. Brzostek, South Lewis Central School Superintendent Frank C. House jumped in with his lone bid of $96,000, and Mr. Gamble declined to bid further. "I wanted to get something upstate," said Mr. Gamble, who found out about the auction Friday." And I wanted to get something that could be brought back." Mr. Gamble said he's looking for a place to house a pair of businesses: an Internet company and a small health and beauty products manufacturer. He said he may have bid higher had he realized the property is included in Lewis County's Empire Zone. Prior to the auction, Mr McDonald said the mansion will be assessed at the purchase price unless it is deemed too low by the town assessor.

Been working at things for the past 3 weeks. Still things I would like to do but as you wrote in the flyers, AS IS.. Have had many people stop and pick up the flyers (very nice). June 16, 2002, 973 Lancaster Ave., Syracuse, NY, Dear Mr. Brzostek and staff, I wish to thank you for your excellent and efficient way you conducted the Unreserved Real Estate and Antique Furnishings Auction at my home in Syracuse in June. I was so pleased the way things were done on the day of the auction, I felt like bidding on the items, the way you made things sound exciting and wonderful. I want to thank you also for the efficient way the report of what was sold and the check for me came at an excellent time. I was pleased with all the advertising you did, and the great response of people coming form all over the area and from out of New York State. Many thank you's for all your for all your kindness, talent, equipment you used, the staff was excellent, and your way of doing business was of very high caliber! You are Top's in your field. June 14, 2002, Dear Bernie, I want to take this opportunity to hank you and your entire crew for a most successful auction of my mother, Helen Kalinowski's estate. You and your people demonstrated professionalism with warmth and friendliness and went about their business with efficiency and organization. It was a pleasure meeting your wife, Wendy and I was amazed at how well they worked. You came highly recommended and I concur with all that my coworker said about you and your staff. I will and have already sung your praises to our friends. I hope to attend one of your auctions but I wasn't able to bring myself to go to my Mothers. Again, thank you to you and your staff. We were very pleased with the results.

Monday, June 10, 2002, Greetings Bernie and Crew! I first want to thank you for all the hard work that went into selling my mother's house and it's contents. I must say Bernie... you have one awesome crew and are so well organized. I also want to thank you for keeping us in the loop with each and every step you made. It was great to know what was going on. I must confess, being new to this I didn't know what to expect. You and your crew gave more than 150% and way exceeded our expectations. I must tell you a little story... My brother-in-law works for an Auctioneer (who shall remain nameless - but his address is Newark NY) who I had originally contacted a couple of weeks before contacting you. Thinking...Hey...I bet (let's just call him John) John would love the chance to turn a piece of coal into a diamond. After we walked through the house and told me that he didn't see much value and I should just have a garage sale. Well...as they say...when you've talked to the rest...you go for the best. Hence that when I contacted you. And you took the challenge! Which I must say am VERY grateful for your willingness, determination and super work ethic. You did turn a piece of coal into a diamond. Ok...maybe not a flawless diamond (hee!) - but none the less...you even made what I though was junk-saleable. HA! You showed him! AND...I can't wait till the next Freeman gathering to brag about how great a job you did. And I too can not say enough about your wife. She is one special lady. The day her and the crew displayed everything...wow...it was like walking into a museum! She certainly has an eye for style. And a special thank you to the wonderful sole that was washing all that glassware-oh boy, I'm sure her hands were sore by the end of that day. Thanks again for your efforts, patience, determination and being on top of everything every step of the way! If you EVER need a reference, please feel free to use my name.

Best regards, Sue Freeman Syracuse, NY

June 6, 2002, Dear Margaret, My husband and I want to thank you and your staff for the tremendous job you did in selling the contents of our home. Making an out of state move after 52 years in one area was a major undertaking. You and your staff made disposing of the house contents the easiest part of the whole process. Wendy, Carl, Richard, Violet and Kane were all considerate, professional, and hard working. We did not attend the auction but have heard good reports from friends who did. Also, our thanks to Bernie who realized a total amount for our things that was a pleasant surprise. We would be pleased to recommend your services to anyone.

We would be so pleased to have you once again help us raise much-needed funds for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation as our auctioneer. April 3, 2001, Dear Bernie, On behalf of our Board of Directors, Women's Auxiliary, Auction Committee, staff and volunteers and, most especially, over 2,800 members of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Syracuse, THANK YOU for serving as the Auctioneer for the 26th Annual "BIDS FOR KIDS" AUCTION. These programs ensure that our community's young people can get off the streets and turn their lives around. THANK YOU for supporting the Auction and the Boys & Girls Clubs!

March 3, 2001, Dear Bernie, I want to thank you for your skilled auction sale of my recently deceased mother's home of 57 years. It was listed for auction less than two weeks and sold in one day. The sale of the home, a "Rose amongst the thorns" was the biggest challenge I had as Executrix of the Estate. After noticing a Brzostek Auction sign on another house on the street, I called you and asked why I should place it for auction verses a real estate company. Your response "because after it's been on the market three years and not sold, you'll come to me anyway." You examined the home and told me what you expected the selling price to be. You explained that the home would be sold to the highest bidder regardless of the amount. Your air of confidence and honesty led me to sign a contract for auction. Needless to say, I experienced a wave of anxiety which was increased by my sister's apprehension concerning the method of sale, due to the loss of control over the selling price. The house sold in one day for even higher than your highest quote. The transaction was handled in a most professional manner. I'd surely feel confident selling in the auction method if I had need in the future. Thank you very much for helping me settle the estate expeditiously.

Sincerely, Ruth Valerino
